Il governo irlandese ha scelto un unico simbolo nazionale per tutte le monete. Si tratta dell’arpa celtica, emblema tradizionale dell’Irlanda, affiancata dall’anno di emissione e dall’epigrafe “Éire” (Irlanda). L’arpa è stata disegnata da Jarlath Hayes.
