President of the Republic of Slovenia visits the ECB

The President of the Republic of Slovenia, Danilo Türk, visited the European Central Bank (ECB) today. The President was accompanied by Mitja Drobnič, Slovenian Ambassador to Germany, Mojca Seliškar Toš, Head of the Office of the President of the Republic of Slovenia, and Dušan Snoj, Adviser to the President of the Republic of Slovenia on Diplomatic Affairs.

The President and his delegation met with Jean-Claude Trichet, President of the ECB, and Lorenzo Bini Smaghi, Member of the Executive Board of the ECB, to discuss matters of mutual interest. The topics addressed included the economic situation in the euro area and the ongoing regulatory reform of the financial system.
